The BVCA awards, in association with Grant Thornton, recognise exceptional management teams leading businesses that have been backed by UK private equity and venture capital investors. Chief Executive Merle Hall and Chief Design Officer Craig Wightman received the award on behalf of Kinneir Dufort, the leading design and innovation consultancy, at the awards ceremony, held in Bath on 9 May.
Richard Babington, the Mobeus Partner who originated and led the original 2016 investment, and is also a Director of Kinneir Dufort, commented:
“The management team of Kinneir Dufort, Merle, Craig and Amanda Bell (COO), has built a scalable business model centred on the Business’s ability to deliver world-class levels of design and innovation for its clients. 2018 was another record year for the company in terms of turnover and profitability and we are cementing our joint ambition for the business with plans to expand its facilities in Bristol to cope with increasing levels of demand from its international customer base.”
“We’re delighted with what our management team has collectively achieved over the last couple of years and how the calibre of people within our broader business continues to grow stronger every year. This management award represents the efforts of everyone within KD and their ability to collaborate in creating an effective and brilliant world-class business, whilst sharing in our vision to deliver a positive impact through our fields of expertise. In addition, we must recognise none of this would have been possible without the ongoing partnership and support from Mobeus throughout our journey to date.”
